The project concerns High Voltage Direct Current electricity transmission (HVDC) of 1000 MW, ± 500 kV DC using the bipolar system of submarine cables crossing the Adriatic Sea. The cable system connects two power stations AC conversion (AC) / direct current (DC) located in the municipality of Cepagatti (Pescara) on the Italian side and on the side of Kotor in the Montenegrin territory. Italian and Montenegrin conversion stations will be connected to the grid respectively in the existing highvoltage node of Villanova and the new one constructed in Tivat.
